Horizontal Cable Railing Systems

Railing structures are typically available in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The cable and hardware use #316 marine-grade stainless steel. Project configurations can also incorporate options such as glass, wood, balusters, spindles, or solid lines when using the broader stair and deck railing ranges.

The cable specification provided for these systems is #316 marine-grade stainless-steel cable. Cable lengths are custom cut for each railing panel, and terminals are custom swaged threaded rods cut to the required panel length.

Yes. The products are designed for new stairs, existing staircases, and balconies. Acadia Stairs provides custom design consultation and fabrication so the railing can be developed around the project space and existing conditions.

Available finishes include natural stainless steel, blackened patina, and custom powder coating. Related railing configurations also offer clear coating, paint, hot-dip galvanizing, and other finish options. Steel railings may receive a zinc-rich primer beneath the selected topcoat.

Panel-built railing sections can be fabricated in lengths up to 20 feet. The final panel arrangement, cable cuts, terminals, and supporting structure are developed for the individual stairs, balcony, or architectural metalwork project.

Applicable requirements depend on the railing system and building regulations for the project. Commercial applications may require a 42-inch guard rail, a 34- to 36-inch handrail, vertical balusters with less than 4-inch spacing, and level portions at stair entry and exit.
